S19E07 | Lara Perrill (Gillingham, Kent, 1991)

In November 1991, the Kent town of Gillingham was shaken by the senseless murder of 18-year-old Lara Perrill.

Lara was a much-loved daughter, sister, niece, and grandchild. She was just beginning her adult life, spending time with friends and making plans for the future. Her warmth and youth made what happened to her all the more devastating.

When Lara failed to make it home after a night out, the search to find her ended in tragedy. As detectives pieced together the events of that night, they soon found themselves dealing with a man whose history of violence and suppressed rage had gone unchecked for years. The question became not just how he could have committed such an act, but whether anything might have stopped him sooner.

S01E01 | Peter Bryan | The Murders of Nisha Sheth, Brian Cherry and Richard Loudwell

In the debut episode of British Murders, I tell the story of Peter Bryan.Peter murdered 21-year-old Nisha Sheth with a hammer in 1993 and was subsequently sent to Rampton Secure Hospital. He was transferred to an open psychiatric ward in January 2004 before murdering Brian Cherry a month later on February 17.Remanded to Broadmoor, Peter murdered fellow patient Richard Loudwell on April 25, 2004.The confessed cannibal remains in Broadmoor to this day, and it is improbable that he will ever be released.⁣⁣For all things British Murders, please visit my website:⁣https://www.britishmurders.com/⁣Intro music:⁣David John Brady - 'Throw Down the Gauntlet'⁣https://linktr.ee/davidjohnbradymusic⁣References:https://www.britishmurders.com/peterbryan/ Learn more about your ad choices.
