Feminism can be dated back to the 1800's...but we've been fighting for much longer. Whilst some movement has been made, we are by no means close to true equity, even in the most basic of terms. The irony now is that the world we live in today, a world created by men for men, no longer even works for the boys and men it was intended for! So, fellow men, it's your turn now. It's your turn to fight alongside women, in the trenches of gender inequality, violence, disenfranchisement, and bias, to change the socio-economic and political systems you created and founded on misogyny. Your active participation and voice is necessary in order to move our failing society and the systems, institutions and businesses within it, forward. It's time to dismantle and rebuild...together...as a collective. As equals.

Lee Chambers joins host Jennie on this weeks episode. Lee is the chief psychologist and founder of Essentialise and Male Allies UK. After a diverse career, from corporate finance to building a tech company, he is now focused on supporting organisations to engage men in inclusion, accelerate gender equity and promote effective allyship. He has been featured on the Startups 100 Index, has received a Great British Entrepreneur Award, and sits on the boards of CMI Women, Regenerage, and the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School.

He is a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences in the USA - the first Black British scientist to be awarded in its 33-year history, received for his work on health inequalities. He was the UN Women Changemaker of the Year in 2023, and is an ambassador for the UK Government's Lilac Review for Disabled Entrepreneurship. Lee was recenetly listed as Forbes 2025 Changemaker to Watch. He speaks globally on allyship and intersectionality, having taken the stage at One Young World, ChangeNOW and the Bloomberg Global Equality Summit, and is the author of the book, Momentum: Reboot Your Career, Unlock Your Potential.

This is polarising, but fascinating topic to say the least! Lee and Jennie dive head first into a raw and open conversation about misogyny, raising boys to be better men and all of our collective responsibilities in dismantling and rebuilding our broken systems. This is a MUST LISTEN!
