Navigating Your Way Through Organizing Systems with Najiyyah Floyd

Navigating Your Way Through Organizing Systems with Najiyyah Floyd

Within this episode, we sat down with Najiyyah, who among all things, considers herself to be a creator, a lifelong crafter, and an individual who enjoys helping others around her. Within her work during the day, life at home, and more, Najiyyah simplifies organizing by creating a system within a system, and if you enjoy the satisfaction of crossing items off a To Do List, you've found your person. She finds gratification in doing this as well. Najiyyah spoke with so much intentionality within this episode and reminded us of the connection between mental clarity and organizing. My name is Najiyyah Floyd (pronounced Na•G•ya) I'm from Maryland but spent my middle and high school years in NC. My background is in Multimedia & Graphic Design, however, I have always considered myself a life long crafter with a passion for mental health. I currently run a custom embroidery business with my cousin called 3astside Merch and I work as a Certified Peer Support Specialist; supporting those in the community that deal with mental health & substance abuse issues. I also run a mental health based non-profit called The Struggle Bus Project, which was created with the goal to provide the community with resources/products, spaces, services and experiences that initiate introspection and healing. We focus on improving mental health and one's overall well-being through art, community and mindful practices.
