Quincy, Illinois became a thriving riverfront featuring steamboats and trade due to its location along the Mississippi River. Many Germans settled in the town and one of those people was a man named George Metz. He built his mansion, Villa Katherine, here and it seems that his beloved dog has stayed on there in the afterlife. That isn't the only haunted location in Quincy.
