Episode 94: Get Licensed for Foster Care, Now!

Episode 94: Get Licensed for Foster Care, Now!

This week's episode is all about how to get licensed for foster care right now. We are still in the middle of a global pandemic, and so it is actually easier to get licensed right now, than ever before. Because all of the classes, and most of the requirements can be done online! And it's also easier - cause you have no where to go! No sports, or dinner commitments, or even work functions to go to. You are home. You can watch all the classes on your computer!

Kirsten Abiatti, a former foster mom, adoptive mom, and amazing director at Arizona127, shares just how simple it is to get licensed, and things we should expect along the way.

So go to Arizona 127 to see how you can get started today!

Go to DCS's official website to report any abuse or to learn more about becoming a foster parent today.

We also had Lindsay Stamm of Arizona 127 on the podcast before. She was on episode 59, and you should check that episode out as well!

The Good Word of the Day

1. "God is more pleased by our willingness to be faithful along the journey of foster care than He is concerned about our ability to achieve a certain outcome through it."

- Jason Johnson. Reframing Foster Care

2. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

- Galatians 6:9

So don't be concerned about outcomes - we can't control them anyway! And do not grow weary along this journey of foster care. There are so many hard things along the way, but we will reap a harvest at some point! What the harvest will be - who knows! But it will be something good. Just keep going, friends!
