Catherine Rains is a mixed media collage artist, however until age 33, she often said "I don't have an artistic bone in my body". She discovered her life calling in the middle of an overwhelming day job, where she created her first collage on a whim to relieve stress. This simple beginning eventually led to her quitting her day gig & running a thriving art business for 4 years. Then Catherine's journey took an unexpected left turn. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, which led her back to her day gig. For the next 10 years, Catherine traveled the US, and created almost no art. In 2015, she decided to find a way to integrate the day job she loved with the art she could not live without, and decided to take art on the road with her. Packing two 50-pound suitcases, one full of art supplies, Catherine set up an art studio in every hotel she visited, following a very structured schedule to fit art into EVERY nook and cranny of her life. As a result of this commitment, as well as her philosophy to surrender to wherever she was, her 12 years back on the job finally ended on January 1, 2018, and now Catherine once again claims the title of full time artist and she is creating sacred art to her heart's content.
