On May 4, 1994, Arsenal traveled to Copenhagen, undermanned and decidedly as underdogs to face Parma in the European Cup Winner’s Cup final. “One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts that special season and victory in eight parts. Episode One breaks down the gravity and significance of playing in Europe at the time, including a brief history of European competition and how players and fans felt about the opportunity to compete against the best teams from other leagues.
