So much so that he’s actually kept written notebooks detailing every single NHL fight that has occurred since the late 60s to present day along with thousands of hours of hockey fight footage captured on VHS tape. He has amassed quite a collection of fights and fighters, and the knowledge to back it up. He can rattle off the great enforcers, the knockouts, how many fights various players had over the course of their career (including the great Teddy Irvine). He even worked for teams like the Los Angeles Kings, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the New York Rangers – taping game footage so they could scout opponents and players. He’s seen some incredible games and crazy fights in-person, and has almost got into a couple of fights himself with hockey refs who had the nerve to stop the fights on the ice! Sandy’s got favorite fights, favorite fighters, best fighting teams, best bench-clearing brawls, and stats for days!
