Episode 1225: Ruth Lawrence double murder trial on hold as court hears witness sick

The trial of double murder accused Ruth Lawrence at the Central Criminal Court was told that there is a medical issue with a significant witness and that the jury will return on Thursday morning to hear whether or not it can continue.

Lawrence has pleaded not guilty to murdering Anthony Keegan (33) and Eoin O'Connor (32) at an unknown location between 22 April 2014 and 26 May 2014.

The bodies of the two men were found on Inchicup Island on Lough Sheelin on 26 May 2014. They had been shot in the head.

The prosecution has alleged that Ms Lawrence and her boyfriend Neville van der Westhuizen murdered the men and disposed of their bodies before leaving the country a few days later.

Nicola speaks with Eamon Dillon about the latest from the case.
