Helmet of Cellphones! & Biohacking Brand Success (feat. Gaetan Leroux) #642

This episode is sponsored by Magnesium Breakthrough and Sleep Breakthrough — two of my favourite biohacks for deeper sleep and better recovery.

Right now you can get 15 % off either one when you use the code TONY15 at bioptimizers.com/tony

Coming up today...

  1. Helmet of Cellphones?! We dig into Elon Musk's claim that even if you wore a helmet made of cellphones, EMFs wouldn't be a concern. How true is that?

  2. Sparkling Water Under the Microscope. A new app now lets you compare the water quality across different brands of sparkling water, and the results might surprise you.

  3. From Zero to Biohacking Brand Success. We talk to Gaetan Leroux, founder of Mythos Men and Mythos Women. These are two brands taking the biohacking world by storm, but how to grow a biohacking brand from the ground up?

The best apps and gadgets for crushing it in life with fitness expert Josh Trent #58

The best apps and gadgets for crushing it in life with fitness expert Josh Trent #58

Test, track and improve. This podcast is a lot of fun, with a guy who seriously knows what he is talking about. As you may know, I am an unashamed geek when it comes to tracking stuff. It's really not as tricky as it sounds though. It only takes about 90 seconds a night to track everything (lifestyle factors, supplements, energy levels and sleep quality) on a big old excel spreadsheet. Then, rather than wondering if meditation helps me feel more relaxed, or drinking loads of wine the night before a big day has a negative impact (duh), I have the data to prove it. This movement is known as Quantified Self, and there are some enlightened discoveries being made by people every day. More and more people are tracking every day, using devices like the Jawbone (modelled by yours truly below). Today's Zestology guest is Josh Trent. He is the founder of Wellness Force Radio, he’s been called a “Top 50 Digital Health Influencers of 2015,” and he’s a Quantified Self enthusiast & expert in Fitness Technology. With national accreditation from multiple fitness organizations and over 10 years of experience in the health & fitness industry, Josh is going to dig deep into the quantified self and explain just how to get the most out of those tricky fitness trackers. It's a double-header, we recorded Josh's podcast first, and then Zestology, and so if you enjoy this episode of Zestology do head over to Wellness Force for more.

Motivation, achievement and what it takes to endure with ultraendurance man Dean Karnazes #56 The secrets of motivation, from an ultraendurance athlete This week's guest Dean Karnazes does it all—seriously. Not only is he a renowned endurance athlete and accomplished author, but he also works with several Fortune 500 companies all around the world, helping employees transform into elite leaders and managers. Our topic this week? Motivation and achievement. Dean's got it in spades, and so can you. Does stress make you grey? (hint: YES) with Good Housekeeping Beauty Editor Sam Escobar #55

This week, some of the world’s greatest medical mysteries: Does stress really make you grey? Are flip flops bad for your feet? Do piercings help alleviate headaches? Yeh, uh, perhaps not world's greatest, but important stuff, right? This week’s guest, Good Housekeeping beauty editor Sam Escobar, has a lot to say on these topics and then some.
