This week on our motorcycle podcast we are joined by Matthew Biberman, who is the author of a brand new children's book called Fixing Santa's Cycle. Did you know that Santa rides a motorcycle? All this time people thought they were hearing reindeer hoofs when it was actually the sweet exhaust sounds from his Vincent. Matthew is the son of bike builder Big Sid Biberman, who was well known for his wrenching skills on vintage bikes. In fact, it was a special build of a Vincati that brought Matthew and his dad close again, and was the subject of the book Big Sid's Vincati. This week on our motorcycle podcast it's time to talk about the Yamaha Niken. Everyone's had a chance to try it, and everyone is impressed. Set aside the freak show imagery with it's double front wheels, and what you have left is an extremely capable sport touring bike, which is equally comfortable in rough twisty roads as it is doing 100mph freeway slabbing. In fact, Liza makes the declaration that a big triple engine is the best all around street bike engine you can get right now. Once you're on the bike, you forget that it's got 2 front wheels, and it just feels like a well planted machine ready to take you down any road in any conditions, and get you home safely. In our You Must Be Crazy segment, we look at a marketplace ad for a modified Ruckus scooter that the seller thinks is worth $10K. Even with the quality modifications, it's hard to believe anyone would pay this much. Would you? Lastly we finish up with announcements and emails. Completing her journey just shy of her 23rd birthday, she relied on her Kawasaki Versys 300 and the motorcycle community at large to help her complete her journey.
