As a wise, mustached, orange creature once said, "I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues". You may recall the famed Lorax, from the imagination of Dr. Seuss. He was right, trees are critically important to the health and wealth of our shared planet but have no voice in how they're used.

There are so many benefits of trees, across all sectors. Trees are important not only to the environment but also to society and the economy. These are some of the reasons that Derrick Emsley, CEO and Co-founder of tentree, started his company. tentree isn't an apparel company that plants trees, they're a tree planting company that sells apparel.

In our Episode with Derrick, we discuss:

  • tentree's founding story and their goal to plant one billion trees by 2030.
  • How tentree operates with organizations around the world to plant trees that have a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
  • How this Certified B Corp uses ethical manufacturing and sustainable materials to combat the fast fashion industry.
