Ep. 889: 20,000 Miles Around the World on Foot - Revisited - Angela Marie Maxwell

Ep. 889: 20,000 Miles Around the World on Foot - Revisited - Angela Marie Maxwell

World walk: Angela's 5-year, 20,000-mile journey around the world with a wheeled cart, recently returning to the US en route to Bend, Oregon, accompanied by her 72-year-old mother on bicycle, and raising $20,000 to build a safe shelter for girls rescued from gender violence and sex trafficking in India.

Originally aired - August 23, 2019

When Angela was ready for a new chapter in life, she wanted to go big. The PCT, AT, or other thru-hiking trails weren’t enough. She “wanted the world”. With nothing but a wheeled cart and her imagination, she set off on what is truly the adventure of a lifetime, a 5-year walk around the world.

She recently crossed 20,000 miles and is back in the US, on her way home to Bend, Oregon. Also, her 72-year young mother is currently keeping her company via bicycle.

Angela is also walking with the purpose to raise $20,000 to build a safe shelter for girls saved from gender violence and sex trafficking in India.
