One-Nil to the Arsenal: Part 6 - The Famous Back Four

Part Six explores the group of players most identified with that team and the entire George Graham era – the defense. Known as “The Famous Back Four,” Arsenal back line that season featured a group of players that would all, in their own right, become club legends. The team’s defensive prowess went so deep that some fans called it “The Famous Back Five” because of a legendary goalkeeper in his own right. There may be no unit more responsible for Arsenal’s European win and overall team identity.

“One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts.

Host: Kent Malmros
