As a leader, you’re expected to teach, advise, and help your team, but it’s just as important to listen. Sometimes, people just need to be heard and understood.

It’s important to not only treat your team with respect but to be a leader deserving of theirs. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them; give credit where to your team where it is due — understand and you will be understood.

Lead by example. You can’t just tell people to work on things that you don't want to work on — otherwise, you’re not leading; you’re shouting out orders.
