A discussion with Pramesh Pokharel, All Nepal Peasants' Federation, a member association of the La Via Campesina global. In this exchange Pramesh speaks about the realities in Nepal and the ways that small scale farmers and agricultural communities are being actively displaced by corporate farming infrastructure which in many cases is shaped by the interests of big agricultural corporations. Also Pramesh identifies key points of context that can allow us to better understand the recent waves of protests in Nepal and how that relates to rural to urban displacement realities that many communities are facing. Pramesh was a participant in the People's Summit in Belém which took place in the context of and on the sidelines of the official COP meetings.
