Son of Sam Part1

Son of Sam Part1

The .44-caliber killer, then later known as Son of Sam, David Berkowitz terrorized New York City in 1976 and 1977. He targeted individuals parked in cars on the street. The shootings appeared to police to be random which made it that much tougher for them to catch their target. He taunted the police with bizarre letters which fueled public panic even more as the press coverage heightened. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss one of the most infamous killers in NYC history. Once caught, Berkowitz captivated the public when his reasons for the killings were revealed. He is a killer who has been studied exhaustively over the past 40+ years and his case brought about some important changes in the law regarding those that kill. The Murders of David and Bobby Phillips

The Murders of David and Bobby Phillips

Brothers David and Bobby Phillips were murdered near the Christmas holiday in 1992. Their parents came home to find them dead in the house. But many believe that their murders were a case of mistaken identity and were, in fact, related to the 1991 murder of husband and wife Coy and Tonya Wilkerson. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this twisted tale of two double murders. Police have theorized that whoever murdered the Phillips brothers was actually out to kill the parents of Tonya Wilkerson. There are many similarities in the two cases that make that theory plausible. Dorothy Jane Scott

Dorothy Jane Scott

Dorothy Jane Scott was a single mother living in Orange County, CA who vanished in 1980. Her partial remains were found years later at a construction site. Dorothy worked in the back office of a psychedelic/head shop even though, being very religious, Dorothy didn't participate in those kinds of activities. She began receiving obscene phone calls before her disappearance and her mother received them afterward. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the life and disappearance of Dorothy Jane Scott. Theories abound in this case. Dorothy was a single mother struggling to raise her son. Who would have wanted to kill her? Was it someone that saw her at the shop? There are some eerie parallels in this case to The Golden State killer who we have covered extensively. It is known that he was in the area around the time of Dorothy's disappearance. Could Dorothy have been a victim of GSK? Or was it one of several other potential suspects that have come up over the years? Janette Roberson

Janette Roberson

In 1983, 27-year-old Janette Roberson's murder rocked the small town of Reed City, Michigan. Janette was murdered in the afternoon while she was working in the basement pet department of a store called Gambles. This was an extremely savage murder. But, somehow, no employees or patrons of the store upstairs heard anything. A composite sketch of a man seen in the store around the time of the murder was produced and circulated. No one in the town could say who this man was. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the mystifying murder of Janette Roberson. Janette was a wife and mother who had a huge heart and a deep love for animals. How could someone end her life so callously? Was this someone who had become infatuated with Janette and became enraged when she rebuffed his advances? Police are still working on this unsolved case and using advances in DNA technology to try to identify Janette's killer.
