Better Call Daddy

Better Call Daddy

Reena loves a story, and she‘s fascinated by the people behind them. She loves to bring stories to life. Her appetite for storytelling has taken her from the Jerry Springer Show to the legal drama of the courtroom. From influential players to reality stars, nothing is censored here. Reena interviews people whose stories haven‘t been told, at least not through her unique lens, and then gets daddy‘s advice afterward like a good daughter does. Whether you have daddy issues or a father who‘s inspired your path, you will be able to tap into my daddy‘s wisdom, wit, and humor at the end of every episode. My daddy has been a guiding light my whole life and there‘s not much he doesn‘t know, as an entrepreneur for forty-plus years, a husband, a loyal son, and my number one supporter. He has learned lots of life lessons along the way and is here to share them with you. It‘s time to reminisce and reflect on the conversations you‘d like to have with your daddy and learn from mine. Come share in some good old-fashioned family bonding and help us up our wisdom rating. There is wisdom from four generations and I’m addressing what happens from childhood to adulthood!

182. The Art Of Being H(You)man. Meg Heppner

Meg Heppner is going to educate me on her mennonite people!  We talk about how humans bastardize religion and when you start raising kids you have to figure out how to live!  Today she’s facing her God complex!  Better Call Daddy:The Safe Space For Controversy. Celia, my daughter, sneaks in at the end of the episode with tacos and connects to Meg about having three brothers!   Meg is a life coach, blogger and event host that is passionate about walking with people who want more out of life than just the status quo! She believes that life doesn’t have to work out exactly the way we think it “should” in order to be enjoyed and that people don’t have to be perfect in order to be loved. She believes that we all have the voice of truth inside of us but sometimes it can be hard to hear. And most importantly that we must live between the tension of accepting the things we cannot change and taking massive action on the things we can! Meg creates spaces where women can slow down and process all the things that are influencing and controlling their lives - their everyday thoughts, emotions, and the stories they have been telling themselves. Spaces where they can look at their inner world, gain valuable insight and then reclaim their personal authority, and make conscious decisions that transform the way they experience their lives! Through one on one coaching, group coaching and workshops Meg helps women show up in the world with more love, and less ego, more compassion, and less judgment, more vulnerability, and less shame, more emotional agility and less fear! Meg is also the current Branch Director of South Surrey/White Rock for Happy Healthy women. Meg’s currently running events are: The Self Love Series (March 2021 to June 2021) The Art Of Being H(You)man Series (January 2021 to April 2021) The Goddess Talks (All of 2021) Meg lives in British Columbia with her husband of 20 years, two teenage boys and their little dog Charlie. 180. Pinned Not Weak. Geoffrey Moore

Geoffrey’s dad was born in 1906, a larger than life hero, he was an engineer on a mining expedition in the subarctic, people thought his dad was his grandfather!  What’s it like growing up with a father who’s a retiree?  Today we talk about needing a hand up, mental health challenges, and what can happen when you get pinned in life! Better Call Daddy: The Safe Space For Controversy. Geoff Moore is a proud husband and father of four children. He is an active volunteer and second time entrepreneur with a passion for sustainable finance.  His greatest hero is his dad, who was a World War II veteran!   Almost ten years ago, his first entrepreneurial venture did not succeed and a whole host of issues drove him into the hospital for 5 weeks with a mental breakdown.  Based on this and other life experiences, he has decided to launch The Pinned Podcast in order to make a contribution to ending mental health stigma by engaging in authentic conversations with people who have battled through lived experiences of mental health challenges or who have provided care to those who do. Each conversation will be an opportunity for a candid sharing of the invitee's story and their messages of hope for those who are "pinned" today. The goal is to provide a "hand-up" to help people realize that all humans can get "pinned" and they are no ..."pinned" and they are not alone. There is never any shame in seeking a hand-up and the best time to seek it is always today.  Physical and mental health are of course intrinsic, central aspects of being alive... Why then should they be viewed any differently when people are in need of care?   Connect with Geoffrey   https://instagram.com/time_for_a_handup?utm_medium=copy_link   Subscribe and leave a five star review ratethispodcast.com/bettercalldaddy   Me and my daddy would love to hear from you podchaser.com/bettercalldaddy   Connect with Reena linkedin.com/in/reenafriedmanwatts   instagram.com/reenafriedmanwatts
