[23:30] Protein First: A Blueprint for Satiety, Tissue Repair, and Blood Sugar Stability -       Eating protein first is recommended as it helps the body reach its protein threshold, crucial for rebuilding tissues with amino acids. -       Prioritizing protein ensures that the body receives the necessary amount of this essential macronutrient. -       When protein is consumed first, it naturally regulates appetite, making it easier to recognize satiety. -       By reaching the protein threshold, the body signals fullness, preventing overconsumption of other items on the plate. -       Protein is the most satiating macronutrient and contributes to stabilizing blood sugar levels. Social media is so superficial that it’s challenging to post anything meaningful.  Instead, we should be falling in love with the right kind of media. Social media is making people anxious and bummed out.  [16:10] If You Want To Grow A Brand, You Need To Have A Podcast  If you want to create content for the rest of your life, start a podcast.  The problem with podcasting is oversaturation. Eventually, there will be more podcasts than there are listeners.  A podcast is something that you own. Whereas your TikTok channel isn’t something that you own. This will be critical as we look toward the future of the decentralization of media. [19:45] How You Can Apply Keto Flexing To Your Life  Many people think that going hard is better. However, it’s all about finding balance.  If you want to build muscle, then insulin is not your enemy, and neither is glucose. Whether you like it or not, you’ll go back to eating carbs for one reason or another.  Being able to store carbs on the shelf is really important. You need to learn how to use and store all the different macronutrients, including carbs.  Remember, you can’t eat 350 grams of processed carbs a day and expect to see results.  [27:00] Why Abel Loves Intermittent Fasting and How It Helps With Mental Strength  Abel loves how simple fasting is.  Fasting can mentally and spiritually build strength.  There are many ways to approach fasting. You should protect the brain state right after you wake up.  When Abel wakes up in the morning, he practices some self-defense against technology. Give yourself as much time before you jump on your phone, social media, or the news.  Write down your dreams when you wake up. She was fascinated by why some foods are considered good while others are considered bad. At one point, Risa was having fertility issues. She found out that she had a low-functioning thyroid.  The doctor gave Risa medication that she was supposed to take for the rest of her life.  Eventually, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. Risa had no idea why her thyroid was attacking itself.  [07:15] What Risa Will Test For When It Comes To Thyroid Issues  Risa tests for all nine markers of the thyroid.  Then, Risa will help people create T4; it is 93% of the equation. T4 needs to convert to T3; that is your active thyroid hormone, and it’s only 7% of the equation.  When Risa tests for hormones, she looks at free and total. Free means it’s usable to the body, and the total is not useable.  Plus, Risa will look at reverse T3; it’s when stress hormones could be pulling T3 and reversing it.  Also, Risa looks at T3 uptake. It’s when sex hormones can compete with the thyroid. Lastly, Risa looks at TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies. [12:10] Risa Explains What Is Wrong With The Word “Diet”  People associate diet with deprivation.  We should not be depriving ourselves.  If your children are hungry, you feed them.  Diet has been marketed as a temporary deprivation for weight loss. You want that number at 1.5.  Anything 2.0 or higher is insulin resistant.  Inside every cell has mitochondria. The fuel for mitochondria is sugars.  Those receptors are closed, broken, or hindered if you have insulin resistance.  To gain weight, you need to close those cells.  Another way to gain weight is to give your cells more than it needs. Soft materials such as carpets, books, and clothing can absorb smoke particles and remain contaminated even after cleaning attempts. -       Mike highlights the difficulty in restoring these items effectively, requiring more drastic measures like discarding porous materials. -       Even when the visible signs and smells are gone, harmful particles can linger in the air, affecting the health of individuals. In 2017, Michael and his business partner launched their first ketone drink. Luckily, their first big customer was the United States Department of Defense.  It’s important to know that drinking a ketone is not the same as doing a ketogenic diet.
