Podcast 428: A Day at the Races, and a KLR Named Peg
This week on our motorcycle podcast we have a smorgasbord of stories to share. First off, everyone shares their stories from the MotoAmerica and AHRMA races at Laguna Seca over the past two weekends. Both events were awesome, and with the addition of the vintage motocross at AHRMA, we will be looking forward to attending next years event. Stumpy John gives us a report on his ride to S. Dakota on Liza's KLR, and somewhat fittingly managed to give her bike a stump as well. Mike is looking at buying a pretty cool looking cafe racer project bike, and made the mistake of bringing it by the garage on the test ride. We then spent the next 30 minutes pointing out all the things wrong with the bike, and why he shouldn't buy it. Never the less, were pretty sure he bought it anyway..... Surprise guest Moin Khan dropped by and we find out what magical motocross haven he discovered in Santa Cruz. How did we not know about it!? He also tells everyone about the race tracks he's built in Pakistan, and what awesome toys he has to play with on them. And lastly, we answer some listener emails. With Liza, Douglas, Stumpy John, Nak, Miss Emma, Naked Jim and Moin Khan. recyclemotorcyclegarage@gmail.com Don't forget to get your amazing discount at go.fixmyhog.com/Misfits/ and access all their repair videos for just $3!!! motorcyclesandmisfits.wordpress.com/ www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits https://www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew

Podcast 427: On Any Sunday 50th Anniversary
This week on our motorcycle podcast we talk about our recent outings to the races at Laguna Seca, Bagel is prepping for 3? Iron Butts next week (The man is legendary, what can we say)and Liza spent the day chasing balls. But the real thing we're excited to talk about is the best motorcycle movie ever made. After 50 years, On Any Sunday still holds up. It was made at a time when lawn darts were a kids toy, and seat belts didn't exist. This film captures a time when safety was third, and fun was first, and it does it with humor and thrills. Todd Huffman (The John Penton Story) is here to share some stories, how he got involved with the movie, and what happened to all the kids on bmx bikes at the beginning. And if you love this film as much as we do, then hold onto your seat, because it's coming back to theaters baby! And you can be a film captain and bring it to a theater near you. Go tohttps://onanysunday50th.com/ to sign up. Next up, we talk to stunt Misfit Callum, who built a dumpster bike. What's that you say? Well, with help from friends, the electric motorcycle community, and some well timed dumpster diving, he built himself a running electric sport bike. It look great and rides great, and all in he only spend $3000. Good job Callum! And lastly, we answer some emails and hopefully give some good advice about radiators and cheap bikes. With Liza, Bagel and Callum. And in honor of Diego's cross country trip, we play a little game called $1000 Cross Country Bike. Is this possible? Let Emma be the judge! Next up we talk about the Hondamatic 750 that came to the garage today. What exactly is a Hondamatic and how does that elastic trickery work you ask? Well, sit back and let Miss Emma tell you all about it, and learn why this technology died with this bike. This week on our motorcycle podcast we are joined by author, biker, journalist and pirate Carmen Gentile. Podast 421: Love American Style with the Harley Pan America
This week on our motorcycle podcast we are showing nothing but love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. We had the opportunity to play with the Pan America here at the garage, and try it out. Big thanks to our special guests Nick and Caitlyn for making it happen. We give our honest opinions about this beast of a bike. And if you think this is the first foray HD has taken into the world of dirt riding, then Emma has a History Hole for you that will teach you a thing or two. Next Bagel fills us in on HD's history with scooters. That's right, the Harley Topper is an actual thing. In fact, there's a second HD powered scooter that not many know about, made by Craig Vetter himself. Then of course Liza has to get in the game and share her love for HD's racing bike, the VR1000. This is a sexy beast with plenty of growl, that was a bigger part of the evolution of HD than most are aware. Then we get into listener emails, and talk about some of the most misunderstood bikes. And of course, the Livewire is included in the list. With Jeremy, Henry, Nak, Liza, Nick, Caitlyn, Miss Emma, Stumpy John, Naked Jim and Bagel. Send us an email at recyclemotorcyclegarage@gmail.com.
