Although Lotus Isle, saw short lived success, this infamous park’s history lives on. From the tragic story of a drowning and suicide to a famous circus Elephant, this amusement parks short 2 years was filled with tragedy & loss. The infamous axe murders of The Hill family in Ardenwald, Oregon on June 9, 1911, has left behind a 120 plus year mystery. The victims William Hill , his wife, Ruth and their two children Philip and Dorothy were left unrecognizable by their brutal attack.
