Save My Thyroid: Healing Tips for Hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's

If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

What You Need to Know About Peptides and Thyroid Health with Dr. Jen Pfleghaar

“Peptides have helped a lot of patients who were feeling stuck to get to that extra 10% of wellness.” - Dr. Jen Pfleghaar Peptides are chains of around four to fifty amino acids that work with your body, turning on and off genes. Can you restore your thyroid health if you have silver fillings and root canals?

Can you restore your thyroid health if you have silver fillings and root canals?

With the widespread use of mercury amalgam fillings in the past and conventional dentists' use of root canals, it doesn’t come as a surprise that many people have silver fillings, root canals, or both. Our oral health is closely tied to our overall health and mercury fillings and root canals can be potential sources of stress for the immune system. While some patients have improved their health without removing these, I believe we should remove them or avoid them if possible. Today, I’m sha...

How Optimizing Your Hypothalamus Can Improve Thyroid Health with Deborah Maragopoulos

“Most metabolic conditions are centered on hypothalamic dysfunction.” - Deborah Maragopoulos The hypothalamus is an important organ, but it’s difficult to understand. It acts as the central controller that’s often at the root of hormone, neurological, or immune issues, but practitioners often pay little attention to it since there’s no way to measure the hormones it produces. Fortunately, in recent years, research into the hypothalamus has increased and uncovered insights into the deep relat...

Can you have a negative reaction to bugleweed?

Can you have a negative reaction to bugleweed?

While many people with hyperthyroidism take antithyroid medication, others prefer to use natural options for symptom management since the risk of side effects is much lower. When I dealt with Graves’ disease in 2008, I was one of those who chose to take a natural route, and bugleweed was one of the herbs that helped me significantly. Despite the lower risk, some people may still have an adverse reaction to natural supplements and herbs, like a recent patient of mine who had a negative reacti...

How Genetics and Methylation Impacts Thyroid Health with Dr. Sam Shay

How Genetics and Methylation Impacts Thyroid Health with Dr. Sam Shay

“If you know your genetics, you know your ideal.” - Dr. Sam Shay Methylation is an extremely important biochemical process essential for numerous bodily functions. The MTHFR gene was one of the first genes identified and available for testing to the public, so many practitioners and patients have become hyper-focused on methylation when it comes to genetic testing. The truth is, while methylation is crucial, there are other processes that the body will prioritize over it. Rather than lookin...

Bile Metabolism and Thyroid Health with Dr. Eric Balcavage
