Save My Thyroid: Healing Tips for Hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's

If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

Perimenopause and Thyroid Health with Dr. Jennifer Roelands

“Your hormones are like a symphony. They all have to work together.” - Dr. Jennifer Roelands It’s very common for women in perimenopause to feel like something is off or not feel like themselves. That’s absolutely incorrect. Hormone replacement therapy and nutrition and lifestyle changes are n...

Can Gene Editing and "Fake Meat" Trigger Thyroid Autoimmunity?

Having a healthy gut is essential to a healthy immune system. In a recent episode, Dr. Jeffrey Smith and I chatted about GMOs and glyphosate and their possible connection to thyroid autoimmunity. Today, I’m sharing a clip from that episode that discusses eating fake meats such as the Impossible Burger. Even if you don't eat fake mea...

The Relationship Between the Lymphatics and Thyroid Health with Kelly Kennedy

The Relationship Between the Lymphatics and Thyroid Health with Kelly Kennedy

“Your detox is only as good as your drainage.” - Kelly Kennedy The body is designed to deal with environmental attacks from things like bacteria, mold, and viruses. The problem is that all the exposures from modern-day life damage these systems and prevent them from working efficiently. To deal with this, many practitioners emphasize detoxifying the liver. Optimizing Your Adrenals with Dr. Erin Kinney

Optimizing Your Adrenals with Dr. Erin Kinney

There are four major players in the endocrine system: thyroid hormones, adrenal hormones, sex hormones, and blood sugar metabolism. The first three are in a delicate balance where any movement in one affects the other, which is why many patients with thyroid issues are also experiencing adrenal problems. Years ago, when I dealt with Graves’ disease, I knew stress could be a factor, but I assumed it wasn’t an issue for me. I felt I was good at handling the stress, so I was confident my adrena...

Can Botox Trigger Thyroid Autoimmunity?

Can Botox Trigger Thyroid Autoimmunity?

Botox injections use a toxin called botulinum toxin to stop the release of acetylcholine and prevent muscles from contracting. Botox injections are commonly used to smooth wrinkles on the face but can also help treat neck spasms, overactive bladder, lazy eye, and other health conditions. During my interview with Inna Topiler about the causes of thyroid autoimmunity, she mentioned Botox injections as an uncommon cause. Following that, I dove into the research and found some interesting studie...
