Kierkegaard wrestled with his callings—philosopher, scientist, preacher—ultimately dedicating himself to Christianity and questioning its true essence. He sought to redefine what it truly means to be a Christian, focusing on the How rather than the What. Throughout his life, he adopted various literary personas, each contributing to his exploration of the human condition. Kierkegaard believed that true understanding comes from subjective experience, famously stating, Only truth that builds up is truth for you.
