During the closing ceremonies of Star Wars Celebration Japan, it was announced that Star Wars Celebration will return to California in 2027, taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the first time the event has been held in LA since 2006. Additionally, details and a release date for Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 were revealed by the directors, showcasing nine new animated shorts from Japanese studios. Lucasfilm also announced Star Wars: Visions Presents, a new initiative to develop longer-form stories based on the shorts, starting with a continuation of Kara's story from "The Ninth Jedi" and "Child of Hope".
