AFL Daily Wildcard Edition: Let's call it what it is... A top-10 finals series

The AFL has introduced a Wildcard Finals Round to the 2026 fixture. It will mean from 2026 the finals will extend out to a top 10 with the top 6 six having a finals bye.

AFLW moves into its second week of the finals, the Kangaroos flexing their muscles thumping the Hawks while the Lions have made a sixth straight Preliminary Final.
