It’s All About The Players ft. Bruce Mouat

Bruce Mouat joins the guys, fresh off of winning Gold at the Men’s World Championships (2:00). He talks about how cool it was to see so many people showing support with Scottish flags at the tournament, the importance of the sweepers in the modern game, the effect of re-sanding the stones halfway through events, Kevin asks about throwing ‘spinners’ after seeing ‘The Greatest Shot of All Time’ by Nik Edin, Bruce gives some insight into their training plans over the ‘off-season’ and then offers his advice to a 13-year-old girl who emailed the show seeking some advice about how to proceed in curling.

The guys get into the mailbag (22:30), Kevin gives us his wrap-up of the World Men’s Curling Championship (35:00) and Warren offers some statistics from the tournament (37:30). Then they have a chat about the Princess Auto Players’ Championship and the Pinty’s Cup (42:20), the guys discuss the different ‘amounts of curl’ that different tournaments ask for (50:25), and in the new segment ‘What Are You Hearing’, the guys discuss some news about a change in Jennifer Jones’ team and a change in a major mixed doubles team (53:45).
