Jesse Lingard (£6.5m)’s brace at the weekend was just the latest in his eight-goals scoring spree, since joining West Ham on loan earlier this year. Meanwhile, Burnley forward Matej Vydra (£4.8m) now has three goals in his last five matches, after scoring against Newcastle in Gameweek 31, and Chelsea’s Mason Mount (£7.2m) added to his 12 goals and assists for the campaign during his Saturday visit to Crystal Palace. All are in fine form but are among players who are being often too readily dismissed by many FPL managers. This latest episode pays tribute to these unfashionable players in the game.
