Different Strokes, Great Folks: Love, Marriage, and Children. Part 1

We're back this week with 2 special guest stars - Mike and Risi Idiokitas! Mike and Risi, a husband and wife dynamic duo that we have known for well over 20 years! As we sat down to film this episode (during our joint family vacation in Chincoteague, Virginia this summer), we started off going down the memory lane of how they met and became High School sweethearts. We eventually settled on the main topic of Child Rearing. Specifically what best practices we leverage, and how children can throw a wrench into your relationship if you are not aligned on how to approach raising children.
Once again, this is another 2 part-er. In this episode, we talk about college to marriage to children. We’ll finish the discussion next episode.
We discuss:
1. Marriage! Specifically how we met our partners, our stories as a couple, and the long winding path in between.
2. Parenting tactics - The different styles of parenting in relationships, and how the different styles might clash, and how we're evolving our styles and approaches on this very important journey.
