Summary: Open Router just dropped a fascinating meta-analysis of 100 trillion tokens, and the results are properly wild. Turns out 52% of AI usage is for creative roleplay and companionship apps. Yes, that includes romantic chatbots and not-safe-for-work stuff. This is the side of AI we don't really talk about in our space—whilst I'm here banging on about productivity and business applications, half the market is having digital companions and writing elaborate fantasy scenarios. Character AI, Janitor AI, Spicy Chat—they're all sitting there in the top consumer apps list alongside ChatGPT and Claude. It's actually mad when you think about it.

In other news, Claude Code has officially killed off the "you are absolutely right" meme. Someone built an entire tracker called Absolutely Right LLL just to measure how often Claude would say it, and since Opus 4.5 dropped, it's flatlined. Bit sad really—I wanted to get a mug made.
