"I'm about to meet SADDAM HUSSEIN" - Seraj Alijan | S01 E40 | The Sin Bin Pod

This week Seraj Alijan joins The SinBin Pod with a childhood story from 1990s Baghdad that starts with the dream of meeting Saddam Hussein and ends with a fake Sega Genesis, public humiliation, and one very unfortunate stomach incident. After Seraj’s dad invites him to a battery factory inspection with the promise that Saddam himself might be attending, young Seraj spends days at school bragging about his upcoming encounter with Iraq’s biggest celebrity. But on the big day, nerves take over in the worst possible way, leaving him trouserless in an office while secretaries desperately dry his clothes before security arrives.
