Bavarian Podcast Works: Season 4 lift off! We’re back, baby!

After what’s been an incredibly ridiculous 17 months since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s genuinely hard to believe that yet another Bundesliga season for Bayern Munich is upon us. Our sense of time has been warped by the amount of action we’ve seen packed so close together for the better part of the past 15 months after football and sport as a whole had been paused for approximately two months when the pandemic first started to break out en masse across the globe. Just as quickly as Germany was knocked out of the Euros by England, Julian Nagelsmann already has a full preseason under his belt as the new Bayern manager and we’re just one week away from the season opener against Borussia Monchengladbach. With a new Bayern season comes a new season of Bavarian Podcast Works and our flagship show. We have bold ambitions for this season and we also can’t wait to start to integrate some more voices on the shows so that you all don’t get too tired of myself (Tom), Jake, and/or Chuck. We’ve been working behind the scenes on experimenting with different software to make our lives collectively easier as far as recording and editing is concerned, so we’re hoping that results in elevated audio quality and consistency for all of our listeners! We’re really looking forward to this season and being able to share it with all of you!Season 4 Liftoff! We’ve got a full preseason to discuss in this first flagship episode of the new season. There were winners, there were losers, and there were players that were just so/so. There have also been a few juicy transfer rumors floating about just weeks before the window officially closes, so Chuck and I had to talk about it. There was lots to unravel in this season 4 flagship liftoff!Thank you all for your continued support of Bavarian Podcast Works and be sure to leave us feedback in the comments section or on Twitter.Yet again, we’re providing you the best audio content by giving you a wrap-up and recap of this most recent match. In this episode, Chuck and Tom discuss:Bayern’s preseasonWinners and losers from Bayern’s preseason.Impressions thus far of Julian NagelsmannThe futures of bout Zirkzee and CuisanceThe Marcel Sabitzer transfer rumor. And of course we snuck in some quality banter!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works S8E24: Did Bayern Munich peak too early?; Florian Wirtz probably regrets that move to Liverpool; Winter transfer musings; and MORE!

Bayern Munich have slowed down tremendously since the international break. Things look better after the win over Stuttgart, but still - it's not as good as it could have been. In this episode, INNN and Samrin discuss the following:Did Bayern Munich peak too early? Similarities to other seasons. What can Vincent Kompany do better? Does Florian Wirtz regret his move to Liverpool? Does Bayern regret not signing him? Hint: The answer is no. The pressure Harry Kane is under. Some notes on potential winter signings. Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show: VfB Stuttgart 0-5 Bayern Munich (Bundesliga)

Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show: VfB Stuttgart 0-5 Bayern Munich (Bundesliga)

Bayern Munich swept aside VfB Stuttgart with a dominant 5-0 victory, but the performance itself was nothing to write home about. Maybe that itself is worth examining, because what kind of 5-0 win doesn't deserve praise across the board? In this episode, INNN tackles the following:How Vincent Kompany chose to rotate and the logic behind it. A game recap and how things went for Bayern. The overall issue of fatigue hurting the club. Why set pieces cannot remain this poor. The current midfield situation is untenable. A review of each player's performance individually. The insane impact of Harry Kane and why he maybe should have stayed on the bench. As always, we appreciate all your feedback!
