53: My Birth Stoy

After betting her friends and family her son would be born five days late, Erika experienced a somewhat unexpected, intense, orgasmic, ecstatic birth, pushing her to her limits and challenging her to surrender to her primal self and to the power and wisdom of her womb. During her first pregnancy, Erika knew she wanted a home birth without medical assistance, a natural self-led and baby-led birth. So she prepared herself mentally, spiritually and physically trusting that in time, her body would know how to do this. The female anatomy knows how to give birth, you know how to birth your children, your body does the work for you. The difficult part can be to trust her, but she knows. And that is exactly how Erika managed to have the birth she had envisioned, trusting herself.

After that beautiful momend, shared with her husband, she birthed not only a baby but the mother too, and today she wants you to know that the narrative around childbirth can be different from what you have been made to believe.
