Mark 13: Signs of the end times

Mark 13: Signs of the end times

In Mark 13, Jesus sits on the Mount of Olives and gives one of his most sobering and hope-filled teachings. As his disciples ask about the future, Jesus speaks of wars, earthquakes, persecution, deception, and the coming of the Son of Man in glory. Yet his purpose is not to inspire fear, speculation, or endless debate. Instead, he calls his followers to remain watchful, faithful, and ready.

In this message, we explore the meaning of Jesus' words within their historical context and consider what they teach us about the days in which we are living. Rather than becoming consumed by predictions and headlines, Jesus invites us to fix our eyes on him, stand firm in the midst of uncertainty, and continue the work of the kingdom.

The signs of the times remind us that this world is not our home and that history is moving towards a glorious conclusion. Jesus will return, evil will be defeated, and God's kingdom will be established forever.

The question is not whether Jesus will come back. The question is whether we will be found awake, faithful, and ready when he does.

Join us as we discover how Mark 13 calls us to live with wisdom, endurance, hope, and expectancy as we await the return of our King.
