She is a veteran who works with survivors of military sexual trauma, harassment, coercion and abuse: people whose lives have been altered not only by what was done to them, but by what the system failed to do afterwards. She is the co-founder of Alberta Recoil, which provides peer support and a range of other services to help support survivors of military sexual trauma.

Their mission is to offer specialized, trauma-informed care and resources tailored to the unique challenges faced by those who serve.
