Sl: Matej in Jasmina sta sedela na lesenem pomolu ob Blejskem jezeru.
En: Matej and Jasmina were sitting on the wooden pier by Lake Bled.

Sl: Vročina poletnega sonca je sijala nad mirno vodo, svetlobni žarki so se igrivo odbijali na površini.
En: The heat of the summer sun shone over the calm water, with beams of light playfully reflecting on the surface.

Sl: Bled je bil njun raj, kraj, kjer je družina preživljala številne poletne dni.
En: Bled was their paradise, a place where the family spent many summer days.

Sl: Sedaj sta bila tam sama, brez mame, ki ju je pred kratkim zapustila.
En: Now it was just the two of them, without their mother, who had recently left them.

Sl: Matej je gledal skozi sončna očala proti otoku in se spraševal, kako pomagati Jasmini.
En: Matej looked through his sunglasses towards the island, wondering how to help Jasmina.

Sl: Čutil je težo odgovornosti.
En: He felt the weight of responsibility.

Sl: Jasmina pa je sedela z nogami v vodi, spuščala kamenčke in gledala njihove kroge širijoč se od točke, kjer so pristali.

Sl: "Pogrešam jo," je mehko rekla, ne da bi pogledala Mateja.
En: "I miss her," she softly said, without looking at Matej.

Sl: "Saj vem," je odgovoril.
En: "I know," he replied.

Sl: "Zato sem pomislil, da bi nama Bled lahko pomagal.
En: "That's why I thought that Bled might help us.

Sl: Slišalo se je le tiho pljuskanje vode ob strani čolna.

Sl: Ko sta se približala otoku, je Jasmina nenadoma nehala veslati.
En: As they approached the island, Jasmina suddenly stopped rowing.

Sl: Njene oči so se napele z solzami.
En: Her eyes welled up with tears.

Sl: "Matej, bojim se, da bom pozabila," je izustila.
En: "Matej, I'm afraid I'll forget," she uttered.

Sl: "Njene nasmehe, njen vonj po domačem piškotu."
En: "Her smiles, her scent of homemade cookies."

Sl: Matej je položil roke na njene, čoln pa je rahlo nihal na vodi.
En: Matej placed his hands on hers, the boat gently rocked on the water.

Sl: "Ne boš je pozabila.
En: "You won't forget her.

Sl: Nosila jo boš v srcu," je šepnil.
En: You'll carry her in your heart," he whispered.

Sl: "In skupaj si bova postavila nove spomine."
En: "And together, we'll make new memories."

Sl: Na otoku sta se povzpela po stopnicah do cerkve sv. Marije.
En: On the island, they climbed the steps to the church of St. Mary.

Sl: Notranjost je bila hladna in spokojna.
En: The interior was cold and serene.

Sl: Matej in Jasmina sta prižgala svečo za mamo.
En: Matej and Jasmina lit a candle for their mother.

Sl: Plamen je nežno plapolal v tišini.
En: The flame flickered gently in the silence.

Sl: "Ne potrebujeva biti močna ves čas," je končno priznal Matej.
En: "We don't have to be strong all the time," Matej finally admitted.

Sl: "Mama bi želela, da se smejeva in najdeva srečo."
En: "Mom would want us to laugh and find happiness."

Sl: Jasmina je prikimala, si obrisala solze in s kančkom nasmeha na obrazu pogledala skozi okno cerkve, kjer se je razprostiral pogled na jezero.
En: Jasmina nodded, wiped her tears, and with a hint of a smile on her face, looked out the church window, where the view of the lake stretched out.

Sl: "Ti in jaz, za vedno," je rekla.
En: "You and I, forever," she said.

Sl: Matej jo je objel, vedoč, da bo potovanje dolgo, vendar nista bila sama.
En: Matej embraced her, knowing that the journey would be long, but they weren't alone.

Sl: Imela sta drug drugega.
En: They had each other.
