Jeremiah 45–50 | Be Not Afraid, O Jacob My Servant

In this Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible episode, we continue through the book of Jeremiah with chapters 45 through 50 from the King James Version.

Jeremiah first brings a personal word from the Lord to Baruch, his faithful scribe, before the prophecy turns outward toward the surrounding nations. Egypt, the Philistines, Moab, Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Elam, and finally Babylon all come beneath the searching word of God.

These chapters remind us that no kingdom is beyond the Lord’s authority. Nations may rise in strength and pride, but their power is temporary before the God who governs history. Yet amid these solemn judgments, Jeremiah also speaks words of comfort and restoration to Israel and Judah.

The Lord promises that His scattered people will seek Him again, asking the way to Zion, and He assures them that their Redeemer is strong. Settle in with gentle narration, soothing music, and peaceful visuals as Jeremiah chapters 45 to 50 lead us through judgment, justice, remembrance, and the promise of return.
