Dr. Scott Sedlacek, Owner of The Eye Place Reflects on a Regrettable Decision to Join a Practice with Other Eye Doctors

Dr. Scott Sedlacek has owned The Eye Place in Olmsted Falls for almost twenty years and enjoys being an active member of the Olmsted Falls community. As Vice President of a small business networking group in Berea, TAG Team, President Board of Directors of Explore Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Falls Kiwanis Club, Olmsted Falls PTA and several other affiliations, Scott is passionate about eye health and his community.

You'll enjoy listening to this episode to hear Scott's story of why he made a regrettable decision to join an existing practice rather than start his own when he first graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Why did he make that decision and why did he quit when he was given the opportunity to become a partner in the practice? What did he learn and how did it help him succeed with the business he runs now?

You'll also learn about eye care technologies, eye care treatments and the super heroes that Dr. Scott plays in his role as a volunteer educator throughout the school system. (Sammy Safe-Eyes, Vinnie Vision and Vision Impossible)

Check out The Eye Place in Olmsted Falls (equipped with a massage chair and foosball table) https://theeyeplaceonline.com/ or call 440-235-8099 to learn more about making Dr. Scott your primary eye doctor.

Huge thanks to Dr. Scott for being the first Doctor on the podcast and taking the time to talk about a time he lost his confidence and questioned his plan. It's these challenges we enjoy uncovering to keep business owners encouraged in their pursuit of running a successful business.
