'Postpartum' Mom Stabs Kids, Husband in Disturbing Knife Attack

Holly Flores, a Texas mother, was arrested and charged with attempted capital murder and aggravated assault following a violent knife attack inside her home that left her husband and two young children injured. Responding officers arrived at the North Lake residence early in the morning after the husband called 911 reporting that his wife was attacking him, subsequently discovering the injured infant and toddler in a back bedroom. Investigators revealed that police had previously visited the home roughly five times for welfare concerns dating back to March, while the husband reported that Flores had been struggling with postpartum depression. Although the children and husband survived their wounds and are currently recovering outside of the hospital, Flores is currently being held on a $2 million bond as legal experts analyze the complex intersection of severe mental health struggles and violent criminal charges.
