CAVS POSTCAST: The Cleveland Cavaliers and James Harden FALL as Atlanta Seizes Dramatic Finish

The Cleveland Cavaliers fall short in a nail-biter against the Atlanta Hawks, 114-111, raising questions about late-game execution and missing defensive energy. Donovan Mitchell shined down the stretch, while James Harden delivered his best performance of the young season, but crucial missed opportunities and controversial officiating—including a debated flagrant foul—left fans frustrated.

The conversation focused on Evan Mobley’s versatility, Mario Hezonja’s expanded role, and the team’s struggle to dominate inside despite athletic mismatches. Missing Meleek Thomas proved costly on defense, as the Cavs navigated small ball pressure and rotation experiments. Key themes included Jarrett Allen’s paint presence, three-point inconsistency, and how Kenny Atkinson’s lineup choices may evolve. Can Cleveland rebound against the Milwaukee Bucks and solidify their playoff aspirations? Don’t miss this sharp courtside breakdown of what’s next for the Cavaliers.
