S16: We Aren't Experts, But They Are E2: West Coast Feeding and Behaviour Specialists Inc.

This week we chat with Lauren and Christine from West Coast Feeding. This feeding clinic was life-changing for Jenn and her daughter Kya. Food challenges are common for our autistic kids and trying to navigate where to start with food can be overwhelming. It was a pleasure to speak to these amazing ladies.

West Coast Feeding has a private practice in Vancouver, BC, and is made up of a small team of behavior analysts and a holistic nutritionist who specialize in helping kids and young adults with severe feeding challenges, our guests Lauren and Christine are both certified behavior analyst.

Lauren is a certified behavior analyst and the clinical director of West Coast Feeding and Behaviour Specialists. She has her Ph.D. in Special Education (concentration in autism and related disabilities). She has been in the field since 1997. In 2010 she opened her clinic as she wanted to provide families with evidence-based, family-centred practice to treat feeding disorders.

Christine is a certified behavior analyst with her master’s degree in Special Education (concentration in autism and related disabilities) and has been working in the field since 2003 but under the supervision of Lauren, specializing in pediatric feeding disorders since 2010.
