S19: Special Education Behind the Scenes E3: Carley Rae-Alternative Education

This week, we had the opportunity to speak to the fantastic Carley Rae, who's spirit shines through with each word she speaks. In 2013, helped develop LEARN INC., a non-profit school for whole-person learning experiences that focused on individualized learning programs built around the unique needs of each student. We chat about the traditional education model and how education, as it is, often waits for our kids to fail before we can obtain the support they need in the classroom environment.

Carley's educational pursuits have included organizational development, non-violent communication, neuro-sensory systems, chronic pain management, diabetes prevention, dignified end-of-life experiences, psychology, and energy medicine. She has completed thorough training to teach evidence-based mindfulness and meditation practices. I use therapeutic touch, breath, mindfulness, and movement modalities for client-centered healing. As an expert in movement, consciousness, and energetics specializing in personal development, she combines ancient spiritual traditions with powerful therapeutic modalities to help people relieve stress and achieve greater health outcomes.
