Texas Senator Says Natural Gas An Opportunity for Bitcoin Mining

US Senator Ted Cruz says that Bitcoin mining provides an opportunity to use energy that would otherwise be wasted and explained how Bitcoin mining could capture unproductive energy in the form of natural gas.

He stated that 50% of the natural gas in the US that is flared, is being flared in West Texas and that is an enormous opportunity for Bitcoin because that energy is just being wasted.
