INTERVIEW: Is paedophilia in the brain from birth?

INTERVIEW: Is paedophilia in the brain from birth?

I’ve interviewed Dr. James Cantor, an internationally recognised sex researcher, neuroscientist and psychologist. He discussed his findings with paedophilia (when someone’s arousal comes from children) and how we stand the best chance, as a society, of ensuring the crime never happens in the first place.

And before anyone says ‘just kill em’, I’m not talking about our options AFTER the crime’s been committed, I’m talking about BEFORE. Can we reach that person when they’re a teenager, or even as soon as they start thinking about hurting a child for the first time.

And if you’re still saying ‘just kill em’, what are you actually suggesting here? That we go round holding a gun to everyone’s head asking if they think about children?

The man that had my 8-year old penis in his mouth did this for the first time to somebody. Where was everyone before he got to that person? All shouting ‘kill em’ - that did absolutely NOTHING to help me, or any of his other victims.

Take a listen to this podcast episode. You don’t have to agree with it. But as long as we can explore all avenues we can at least start moving towards protecting the children of today.

REACTION: Has teen porn taken it too far?

REACTION: Has teen porn taken it too far?

Girls are making a lot of money starring in scenarios where they behave underage (speaking with high pitched voices, in colourful bedrooms, whilst holding teddy bears and having sex). There are no laws against this, so no one is breaking any rules. The girls are over 18 and the directors say, the younger they can make them look, the better, because the men love it and the views are going through the roof, which means everyone’s making a lot of money and no one’s getting hurt, so what’s the problem? INTERVIEW: Siblings inappropriately touching each other

I know this is something that we never want to think about. But with children being naturally curious, and learning behaviours from what they are see on TV and online, they do things that they don't fully understand - this is more common than you think. I've interviewed Dr. Sophie King-Hill onto this podcast, who's a leading researcher on this topic to help us understand more. Sophie's bioSophie is an Associate Professor in the Health Services Management Centre at the University of Birmingham. She specialises in sexual behaviours and first point assessment in children and young people, sexual health, controversial issues and teenage parents. If I can turn this subject into something that people become interested in, rather than it being so uncomfortable that they turn away, we can make one massive step towards prevention as we get people talking/raising the awareness. INTERVIEW: Charity that helps 3-year olds recover from sexual abuse.

When you think of 3-year olds, 5-year old, 7-year olds etc, you think why would anyone sexual abuse something so kind and innocent? And another question is, how could anyone even get aroused by doing such a thing? But whilst we’re asking those questions, it’s actually happening in real life, so I’ve brought a charity called Brave Futures onto my podcast who work with these children to give them a better life.Caroline speaks about the techniques they use with children as young as 3-years old, the challenges of doing a job like this and much more. To anyone that does this job. DISCUSSION: Is porn turning teenage boys aggressive?

DISCUSSION: Is porn turning teenage boys aggressive?

Alcohol, cigarettes and films have age restrictions on them, but when it comes to pornography, everything changes. We’ve now got 13-year old boys watching hours of extreme content, like girls being gagged so forcefully during oral that they can hardly breathe. And all of this before these boys have even kissed a girl in real life. How is this changing their brains?I’ve reviewed an article from The Guardian newspaper that tells of a rise in teenage sex offences where immoral, abusive and non-consensual behaviour is happening and the boys are putting it down to, ‘well, they do it in porn videos, so what’s the problem?’.The Guardian article - https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/sep/26/pornography-driving-teens-child-abuse-material-charities-policeLucy Faithful Foundation - https://www.lucyfaithfull.org.ukAs you can see from my platforms, I’m involved in many activities from speaking in schools, creating YouTube videos, releasing podcast episodes, running the Something to Say platforms and much more.My aim is to create something for everyone. DISCUSSION: Sexual abuse can feel nice

DISCUSSION: Sexual abuse can feel nice

This is shocking I know. But I want to speak more on this. There are many situations where force and violence are not used. It can be gentle, considered as caring, making the child feel like they are doing a good thing by letting the adult touch them in between their legs.Think about 5-years olds, 7-year olds etc, still so vulnerable, and I know this is uncomfortable, but if we don’t start unpacking the reality of this, we stand no chance. Please support this podcast by leaving a review on your podcast app. This has to be a team effort if we stand any chance of success. For more information see website's below.
