Steve Barbour: Bitcoin Mining and Upstream Data

Steve Barbour is the owner of Upstream Data in Canada, a company offering modular and portable bitcoin mining hardware to the oil and gas industry. Steve and I discuss his background and the process of building Upstream Data and designing the line of Ohmm mining products that allow oil and gas producers to capture the value of wasted energy as bitcoin. We also discuss the broader mining industry and what bitcoin has taught Steve.
