Dr. Swanepoel is Professor of Audiology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and an adjunct professor in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Audiology and founder of a digital health company called hearX group.
