#2: ADHD Coaching for Kids [Signature Program Overview]

In this episode, you'll learn a little bit about me, my approach to ADHD coaching and how it might be a different programs you've seen out there.

This program is a dream come true for me! Let me tell you why-

When I worked in the public schools, I was managing a caseload of 60+ students. By design, speech therapy was only offered to students who met a set of criteria. The special education team and I would discuss students and how to support them in the classrooms.

I kept seeing the same type of student slip through the cracks.

• The student that would be on the cusp. (not struggling “enough” to receive intervention) (Often an undiagnosed ADHDer)
  
• The student whose grades would tell us one story but classroom observations would show us something completely different. They knew the content but struggled with tasks requiring independence (and a ton of executive function skills).
  
• The student who was deploying so intellectual resources to mask and cover up their struggles. They were exhausted.
  
• The student who was hyperaware of the ways they were struggling so “behaviors” would start to appear to distract others from seeing that side of them.
  
• The student that flew under the radar because they weren't the “rambunctious” ADHDer. They were more of the inattentive type who was daydreaming. The student who “just needed to pay attention” and “actually care” about their grade.

I started this private practice for these students. My mission is to walk alongside these students and support them in discovering who they are.

Yes, we'll get to strategies and ways to work with your brain. Before we do that, let's build awareness, practice acknowledgment (+ curiosity) and celebrate you for being a masterpiece and a work-in-progress at the same time.
