What Is a Growth Mindset?

The belief that your abilities and skills can be developed over time.
Failure is viewed as an opportunity for self-development and growth.
All things are possible, 100% accountability, and the time for action is now!
If you believe you can’t change, you have what’s called a “fixed mindset.”

Tips for Creating a Growth Mindset

Embrace challenges with an open mind. Focus on learning all you can in new situations and don’t dwell on self-doubt.
Be open to feedback. Even brutal feedback can be a gift, as it gives you a chance to develop self-awareness.
View failure as a learning opportunity. Failure is a moment in time, and teaches resilience. It’s okay to feel your feelings, but then bounce back!
Cultivate a passion for learning. Find interesting ways to continue to improve yourself, even if it’s not “required”.
Persevere. When things are difficult, keep trying. Progress takes time and patience.
