Riley and Derek start the show discussing Cote’s return to their mens league team. Moving over to NHL talk they start out with what’s going on with Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins. The boys preview the upcoming season starting with the Atlantic Division and the Stanley Cup winning Florida Panthers. They unpack the playoff chances for the Buffalo Sabres, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Boston Bruins. The Toronto Maple Leafs are next up, and head coach Craig Berube joined us for a quick interview. Moving along they discuss the Ottawa Senators and Arber Xhekaj’s hit on Tim Stutzle, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Montreal Canadiens. Wrapping up the Atlantic they give their playoff predictions. Moving over to the Metro Division Nasty and Riles start with the New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders, the Washington Capitals and Alex Ovechkin chasing Gretzky’s goal record, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Philadelphia Flyers are the next talking point, with how impressive Matvei Michkov has looked, and Alexei Kolosov deciding to come back over. Finishing up the division they discuss the New Jersey Devils, and Columbus Blue Jackets.
