I am really excited to pair my nerdiness on artificial intelligence and sex work on this episode with fellow dominatrix, researcher and professor, Dr. Mistress Snow, onto the show this week! Dr. Snow is an adjunct professor and researcher at NYU at the AI Now Institute and the UCLA Center for Critical Intelligence and as a sex worker, she understands the many discriminatory practices through artificial intelligence that major platforms and companies adopt to prevent sex workers from doing our jobs. Dr. Snow opens up about her current research, shares her thoughts on the recent acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk and what that might mean for sex workers, and ways that artificial intelligence works in ways that do not allow us to thrive. It is a completely fascinating conversation (atleast for me!) that absolutely affects our livelihood and how we conduct business.
